The Twisties SuperstarzX!
It was a normal Wednesday morning at the ZALORA Malaysia headquarters, except this time around you could hear the sound of people singing! I reached the office and sat down while wondering what the commotion was, and then I remembered, we’re having visitors today: The HitzFm & Twisties SuperstarzX finalists!
The Twisties SuperstarzX show is not your typical talent show or singing competition. It’s about finding the next Malaysian star, who’s got it all: voice, talent AND STYLE of course! Over the course of 3 months, 6 finalists which were chosen from thousands of entries from allover Malaysia, will be going through a series of challenges set by celebrity mentors, Prema Yin and Altimet. Both Prema Yin and Altimet are no strangers to the industry, each having made their mark as local celebrity singers.

The final 6 which made it into the finals are: Kyle, Syah, Lina, Diary of Us (made up of siblings: Scott Darryl Hadjiril a.k.a Scotty and Trysha Gayle Hadjiril a.k.a Trish), Joey and Young (Click here to checkout the finalists profiles). Part of the challenge at ZALORA, was that each participant had to perform an impromptu song AND describe their own sense of style to the crowd! It was great to see these young finalists give their all by singing and breaking out into song (without any prior practice or time to come up with lyrics!). I know it’d probably be shakin’ in my bones if I had to stand up and peform infront of a whole crowd of people and members of the media! The crowd began to clap along with each participant, as well as show their support and cheered each of them on. Their styles differed from each other: Syah was the ‘rocker type’, Lina had a cute-bubbly-Britney Spears personality, Kyle was the joker, Young and Joey each had an edgy way of singing, and Diary of Us siblings, Scotty & Trish were a fun duo.

The final winners stand a chance to WIN these great prizes:
Grand Prize: Your very own music video, including original song worth RM25,000.
2nd Prize: A demo song recording in a professional studio worth RM7000.
3rd Prize: Music instruments or vocal lessons worth RM3000.
